Medicare Part D Plans with Clear Guidance

Why You Need Prescription Drug Coverage

Original Medicare does not cover most outpatient prescriptions. Medicare Part D plans fill that gap with formularies that help control costs on common and specialty medications. Enrolling when first eligible also avoids late penalties later. JLG Insurance Services helps clients pick a plan that fits real life, from preferred local pharmacies to mail order while traveling.

How Part D Plans Work

Each plan includes a drug list, or formulary, with tiers that affect copays. You will see a monthly premium, a possible deductible, and different prices at preferred vs standard pharmacies. As spending accumulates, coverage may enter the gap and then catastrophic protection. We translate these moving parts into plain numbers, so you understand yearly costs before you enroll.

Choosing A Part D Plan

The right plan depends on your medications, dosages, and pharmacy preferences. We compare formularies, check prior authorizations, and verify which local pharmacies are preferred. If your prescriptions change, we can revisit choices during Annual Enrollment to keep costs in line.

Enrollment Periods And Penalties

You can enroll in Part D when you first have Part A or B, during the Annual Enrollment Period in the fall, or after losing creditable drug coverage. Going 63 or more days without creditable coverage may trigger a permanent late penalty. Not sure about creditable status? Bring your current card and a recent medication list and we will confirm.
